An untitled fifth Avatar film is a planned sequel to Avatar 4, and its aimed release date is 2023. James Cameron has already hinted that no sequel will actually have "Avatar" in the title, as Jake Sully is no longer an Avatar at the end of the first film. The film was unveiled on April 14th, 2016, along with a piece of artwork from the second film.[1] James Cameron confirmed in an interview with The Daily Beast on January 30th, 2017 that the script for Avatar 5 was finished.[2]
