The specific ignition mechanism for these explosives is unknown, as is their real name.

- Daisy Cutter is also the nickname of the BLU-82B/C-130 aerial bomb that was used in the Vietnam War and the War in Afghanistan, the nickname of which was derived from the ability to flatten a large enough area of forest for improvised helicopter landing. They were retired from service in 2008.
