The electric fence is a defense mechanism used by the RDA. The fence creates a physical and electrical barrier by maintaining a series of electrical currents between two posts. Unlike security fences, they cannot be breached by traditional means - the energy current must be cut off.

Sometimes, only the gates are electrified. Like fences, they also must be shut off before they can be used.
NDS Version[]
The RDA utilize the electric fences in a number of their bases; they can be turned off by flicking switches. It is also possible to fire seeds using a sling, to carry charge from a fence to a generator. The Blightgrounds Laboratory involves a lengthy puzzle sequence of electric fences connected to timed switches.
