Lightstorm Entertainment is an American independent film production company. The company was founded and owned by filmmaker James Cameron who co-founded the company with producer Lawrence Kasanoff in 1990, and is best known for producing films that include Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Titanic and the Avatar film series. James Cameron's latest film is the 2022 film Avatar: The Way of Water which was released on December 16, 2022, and distributed by 20th Century Studios James Cameron has also employed other filmmakers to produce and direct films under Lightstorm's production banner.
