Every October, November, and December, my mailbox is always full of mailings from many different charitable organizations requesting donations for their worthy causes. And, it always makes me feel very good to be able to send a small anonymous donation to each one.
This year, there were three that especially caught my attention: Disabled American Veterans (P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301); Paralyzed Veterans of America (7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, NH 03086-0921); and Vets First, United Spinal Association (54 Nashua Street, P.O. Box 2002, Milford, NH 03055-2002). Ok, I think you can guess where I am going with this.
For those three organizations, as I was placing my anonymous donation in the envelope, I also enclosed a note that read: "To honor and support our wheelchair bound vets. From Jake Sully, the disabled veteran hero of James Cameron's movie Avatar."
No matter which country you live in, I'm certain there are charitable organizations that are dedicated to helping your disabled military veterans. If you or your family supports one of them with a financial donation, you may want to consider enclosing a note like the one above to even further spread the good will of our Avatar.
I wish you Peace, Joy, Harmony, and Hope.
