Plot for Avatar II and III

Hello again to all the great people of the wiki! I have had a great time making these blogs and it's always awesome to hear what everyone has to say about each topic I've brought up. I do, however, feel that my blogs have reached a climax and after this blog, I will be done with this account and will "retire" from "blog making" for good. Of course, you can still look up the user page, I just won't be using it anymore. I will be finished. I have enjoyed the many conversations I have had with the likes of Ghaziya and Tsu'tey te Rongloa Ateyitan (the member of the wiki, not the character lol). So let's get on with the blog, shall we?

As I'm sure everyone is aware of by now, the two back-to-back Avatar sequels will be released in 2014 and 2015 …

Just curious

but am I the only one disappointed that we wern't given the opportunity to watch Avatar in split screen, from one side, the movie appears in its normality while on the other side, we see the actors performing the Na'vi characters? Instead, we only get to see a certain number of scenes from the film where the actors (Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Laz Alonso, CCH Pounder, Wes Studi, Sigourney Weaver) are playing their respective roles before the CGI was added. While this was great, it was really a shame there wasn't an option to watch the film like this all the way through in the Collector's Edition.

Jake's ikran before taming the Toruk

Given that once a Na'vi (or an avatar in Jake's case) bonds with an ikran (banshee), they're bonded for life so since we see Jake release the Toruk after the RDA get on the shuttle back to Earth, we can assume that he'll get the ikran back, that is of course if Jake ever manages to find and reunite with it because we never see it again after Jake becomes the sixth Toruk Makto.

While I'm sure we'll likely not notice much difference, does anyone think the ikran will return to Jake in the sequel given the bond that connects them, or is Jake more likely to just make tsahaylu with another banshee? If that is at all possible.

Tsu'tey: A question about his ear.

Has anyone else noticed as I have that there is a small portion of his ear that is missing? It's a shame that there is no mention of how this happened which leaves us only to surmise that it was the cause of a gunshot during a past battle with RDA troops or maybe an animal bit off a piece of his ear during a hunt.

Then again, it's the same thing with Quaritch, he has three scars on his face likely caused by a viperwolf as the wiki claims but the movie never gives any explanation as to how he got the scars.

Would Avatar have worked as a three hour movie?

I'm sure this question will garner many different opinions and while I'm happy with the film in any form it's in, especially the Collector's cut, I can't help but feel that the movie definately would've worked had all the deleted scenes from the special edition DVD, especially the stuff involving Parker and Quaritch as well as the Na'vi festival and the Dream Hunt, been finished and put in the film (except for the Trudy/Norm lovemaking scene and the alternate scenes with Jake vs Tsu'tey and Neytiri's thanator ripping Lyle Wainfleet apart).

Of course, there probably would've been some people complaining about the length of the film had it been three hours long but hell, the Lord of the Rings trilogy worked as a three-hour movie series and L…
