I'm sure this question will garner many different opinions and while I'm happy with the film in any form it's in, especially the Collector's cut, I can't help but feel that the movie definately would've worked had all the deleted scenes from the special edition DVD, especially the stuff involving Parker and Quaritch as well as the Na'vi festival and the Dream Hunt, been finished and put in the film (except for the Trudy/Norm lovemaking scene and the alternate scenes with Jake vs Tsu'tey and Neytiri's thanator ripping Lyle Wainfleet apart).

Of course, there probably would've been some people complaining about the length of the film had it been three hours long but hell, the Lord of the Rings trilogy worked as a three-hour movie series and Lord of the Rings is among the most successful film franchises of all time, I believe Avatar still would've become the top grossing film to date had it remained a three hour movie.
