It appears the long-awaited sequel to 2009's Avatar is *finally* heading into production! ComingSoon.net reports that principal photography for Avatar 2 is set to begin sometime this April, once again in New Zealand. James Cameron will of course direct, from a script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, and all the main characters are to be reprised by the original stars - Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang. No official release date has been set thus far, but there is confirmation that three sequels continues to be the plan for the franchise. What are your thoughts on this development?
